Local company generates solar power above their building, while supplying the parts to do so within.

The City of Miami’s Office of Sustainable Initiatives visited the 5,000 s.f. solar powered office of Sun Electronics located at 511 N.W. 15th St adjacent to the Venetian Causeway in downtown Miami.  The center receives all of its power and more from the panels (about 100) attached to its roof.  “Solar Jorge”, pictured above, is standing on the batteries where most of the sun’s energy is stored.  John Kimball and his international crew gave us an exciting and informative tour of their extensive stock of Photovoltaic panels, converters and much more!
