Luckily, there are new Farmers Markets, like the one in Liberty City popping up all around Miami, that allow you to shop locally and support Florida agriculture.
Please come out and visit the Liberty City Farmers’ Market, which was founded by Urban GreenWorks and Youth LEAD ,it’s market is managed by Urban Oasis Project .
When: This and every Thursday, starting at Noon and ending at 6pm

This unique farmers market carries goods that are certified organic as well as organic non-certified. In addition, it accepts 2 for 1 EBT/Food Stamps and also features free health screenings. This is a large community supported project that hopes to educate and engage the public in sustainable habits such as shopping locally for fresh produce.
