The City of Miami has embarked on a bicycle pedestrian mobility plan for the Overtown and Wynwood areas. These central urban neighborhoods have numerous mobility needs to serve the existing residents, business owners, and visitors who come to see the beautiful mural walls, historic Overtown, and diverse museums and shops. In addition, the area is attracting many new residents who want to enjoy an urban lifestyle where walking, bicycling, and convenient access to public transportation are the most viable forms of transportation.
We want to hear from you! The City is engaging the residents, merchants, and visitors of the Overtown and Wynwood areas to provide ideas and input to the bicycle and pedestrian mobility plan. All ideas and comments are welcome. A draft needs plan map has been prepared to start the conversation, which will be revised to include comments and ideas that we receive. The link below provides access to an online survey where you can provide input, which will be included in the analysis and recorded in the plan. In addition, there will be a public meeting at Williams Park (1717 NW 5th Avenue) on Thursday, September 12, at 5:00 PM.
